The 100% owned Fish Gold Project is located in the Nechako Basin of Central British Columbia, approximately 80 km southwest of the City of Prince George. The Fish Project is comprised of 185 claims covering an area of 87,412 hectares and is situated 75 km from the Endako Moly mine, 75% owned by Thompson Creek Metals Company Inc. ( TCM:TSX). The claims are surrounded by the Chu Moly Project of TTM Resources Inc. ( TTQ:TSX.V), Goldmember Ventures Corp., Golden Dragon Explorations Inc., Nazco, and CM Meteor.
The Nechako Basin has recently become an area of great interest to many mining professionals and in addition, the British Columbia Government. Based on extensive work completed by several major mining companies during the 80’s and 90’s, the region offer enormous potential for mineral deposits. Geoscience BC launched the $5 million “Quest” exploration program in June 07 in the area in order to stimulate exploration in this region of British Columbia.
